I was watching Martha Stewart the other day and she was demonstrating this cool gadget called the Bialetti Moca Stovetop Espresso Maker..... Bialetti for short. It is so cool!!! It's shaped like a tea kettle, but is skinnier. It makes great drip coffee. It's a cute little gadget. It makes about 2 cups of cappuccino.
Here's how it works:
There's a little steam valve on the outside. You put water into the bottom and place the coffee holder just below the valve inside. Pour fine ground coffee into the coffee holder up to the line and smooth out (not packing down). Then, you screw on the top and place on the stove burner. Be careful not to burn the handle by placing the metal part directly on the burner. Let it steam, fill up the top, and squirt coffee to the sides within the cup for a couple of minutes and pour into a coffee cup. If you would like you can mix with cream or milk. Enjoy!
Enjoy your coffee for all it's worth!
Neat hint: In order to make great milk to go in the coffee, pour 1 cup of milk into a jar (maybe lowfat or skim). Screw on the lid and shake the jar vigorously. The milk foams up nicely while shaking. Remove the lid and put it in the microwave for 45 seconds.
