Here's what you need:
  • 5 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour (could be all-purpose or wheat) for the counter top
What you need for the Filling:
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp. white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Topping:
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup nuts(optional)
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Grease the bottom of a casserole dish pan about 8 *12 with shortening and sprinkle with a little bit of the flour.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla together in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the brewed coffee, milk, butter, and eggs with the mixture.
  4. Slowly add the flour in while mixing a soft dough should form.
  5. Sprinkle the countertop (I like to put aluminum foil down for easy cleanup) with the 1 cup flour.
  6. Turn the dough out onto the flourly surface. Roll the dough out to be 12 *10 inches and about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Melt the 2 tablespoons butter. Brush it over the dough from side to side and top to bottom.
  8. Mix the other filling ingredients together and sprinkle on top of the melted butter.
  9. Roll the dough up from top to bottom so it represents a spiral.
  10. Cut the slices into 16 even slices. Place the slices into the pan.
  11. Bake for about 35-40minutes or until they are set just right.
  12. Brush the Cinnamon Rolls with the melted butter
  13. Sprinkle the 1 cup of confectioners sugar on top (if serving kids you could call this the magical dust or something to the manner)If you wish sprinkle the nuts on top or leave it for others to put on themselves.
  14. Enjoy!
  • Enjoy your Easter Coffee Cinnamon Rolls. They are sure to wow anybody who tries them!
