HERE IS A WONDERFUL RECIPE THAT USES COFFEE

Here is a wonderful recipe that uses COFFEE! It is a great Spring/Coffee French Toast recipe. It is absolutely wonderful. I recommend you trying it with your guests that may come this next weekend. This recipe can easily be doubled, but if not it makes 4 servings.

Here is what you need:
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee
  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread or white (if you prefer)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Mixture of your favorite berries
  • raisins (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coffee beans
  • 1 1/2 cups berries
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (I recommend sunny d)
Here's what you do:
  1. Heat up the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl. Whisk the eggs, white, cloves, cinnamon, and coffee together.
  3. Grease a Baking Sheet with the 2 tablespoons of butter.
  4. Soak the bread slices into the mixture for about a minute or two turning half way through this time.
  5. Place the bread slices on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 9 minutes turning the bread slices over 3/4 of the way through.
  7. In the meantime, heat the raisins, sugar, orange juice, coffee beans, and 1 1/2 cups of mixed berries in a medium pan constantly stirring until the berries become soft and the sugar has dissolved.
  8. Serve the berry mixture spooned over the toast.
Enjoy your breakfast or Brunch!
