Mobile Coffee Shops

With it being spring and the weather is about to turn Summary, there may be nothing more refreshing than your favorite iced coffee. Dream about this for a minute.... you have your swimsuit on and your going to the beach. You take your towel, beach chairs, sunscreen, and your favorite book. You set them all down and begin to lay them out. Then, you go out for a swim and come back. You put more sunscreen on and begin to read your favorite new book. At that time, you begin to dream about your favorite iced coffee drink with maybe cream on top. You just wish that you could have packed it or that there would be a coffee shop on the beach.

Well, your days about just dreaming about this are gone. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE! There is a thing called "mobile coffee shops" and it just might be coming to your beach. There has never been such great ideas on this subject and the designs are just getting brighter and more sophisticated. On elitechoice.org there is a picture of a beautiful coffee shop that can be attached to the back of a truck. It almost looks like a hotdog bun when a person looks at it from the front. A person could easily take it on the road with them and it comes with an assortment of coffee and espresso machines. It has beautiful black stools along the outside. It is equipped with a microwave and maybe even a great ice machine. This coffee shop just screams "Take me with you" or even "buy from me." How about buying this "mobile coffee shop," hiring a barista, and laying on the beach while making the big bucks.

Have you ever gone on a bike ride only to find yourself wanting coffee and biking home or to the nearest coffee shop to get it? Well, how about taking the coffee with you. There are several new designs out in which it enables a person to do this. It may remind a person of souvenir carts or even horse and buggies except for it is bike and buggy. One design that was shown on bing images has solar panels to recharge the batteries, a place for the products along each side, choice or frappuccino or coffee machines, great space for a smoothie machine, pull out canopy, roll up vinyl banners(perfect for showing menus), a fancy bell, and much more.

If these designs don't fit you, there's always the possibility of getting a van and having your own coffee shop out the back of it. Maybe a person could even paint the van very lively.

Enjoy your coffee for all it's worth.

"Coffee Time"

I just heard a song that I absolutely love. It is titled Coffee Time.It is a jazz song that has a great rhyme to it. Natalie Cole sings this song. It is originally from the movie "Yolanda and the Thief " from the year 1945. Then, it was featured in the film "The Subterraneans" in the year 1960 in which Carmen McRae sang a couple new verses. I love it because it speaks about drinking coffee with dreamy friends, having a cup of coffee with silly rhyme, and celebrating the old-fashioned drink. To top it off Natalie Cole had such an amazing voice while singing this song.

Coffee time
My dreamy friend
It's coffee time
Let's sing
This silly
Little rhyme
And have
A cup of coffee

Java time
My happy chum
Let's have a time
We'll celebrate
For just a dime
And have
A cup of coffeeGreetin' time
The music box
Is beatin' time
It's good
Old-fashioned
Meetin' time
We're in the pink
So come and clink
And let's drink
A cup of coffee

Coffee time
My dreamy friend
It's coffee time
Let's sing
This silly
Little rhyme
And have
A cup of coffee

Coffee time
My dreamy friend
It's coffee time
Let's sing
This silly
Little rhyme
And have
A cup of coffee
And have
A cup of coffee
And have
A cup of coffee

Here are the extra verses that Carmen McRae sings in 1960. (courtesy of lyricsplayground.com):
Let me show a little coffee house I know
Where all the new Bohemians go
To have a cup of coffee

Greetin' time, the music box is beatin' time
It's good old-fashioned meetin' time
So grab a chair and dig me there
For that's just the place that I'm at

Enjoy your coffee for all it's worth! Just don't forget the rich heritage of it....

Coffee and Consumer Reports

Did you know that americans consume about 25% of the world's coffee? Well, they do. Billions upon billions of people just love the flavor of coffee. When comparing starbucks and Wal-Mart consumption they are purchased about the same amount of time. Some people say that "Starbucks" is an addictive inquired taste while others just love the taste of coffee so they go for the cheaper Wal-Mart brand. With this being true, Maxwell House is sadly at the bottom of the consumer reports consumptions.

How much coffee do you drink a day? Well, the average coffee drinker drinks about 3.3 cups a day. Do you drink that much. At the same time, the average coffee drinker in America drinks approximately 1,200 cups a year.

While all coffees consist of either arabica or robusta beans, many people absolutely desire the arabica beans. This is simply because they tend to make more coffee. Here is a list of top country producing coutries; with 1 being the coutry that produces the most coffee:
  1. Brazil
  2. Columbia
  3. Indonesia
  4. Vietnam
  5. Mexico
  6. Ethiopia
More and more people are blending their own coffee each day.
Weather it's primarily arabica or robusta beans in your coffee, a latte, a mocha, or just your own blend.... enjoy your coffee for all it's worth!

Hawaii's Coffee

Hawaii is a wonderful place with great weather, wonderful oceans surrounding it, and amazing plants. Thousands upon thousands of people travel there each year to just relax and enjoy life for a little while. Upon all of this there are some great and wonderful people that live there and are living the good life! Within Hawaii there are some great coffee shops. Yes, there is your usual Starbucks (there are over 30 Starbucks in Hawaii)and they even have some Seattle's Best Coffee shops, but there are some amazing coffee shops within Hawaii.

Cafe Marc Aurel is one of those places. It is in Wailuku, Hawaii and it sits right on Market Street. People who travel and go there have a great time there. They absolutely love their lattes! It was established in 1999 and has had thousands of customers since then. They have a great selection of wine!

Another one of those great coffee places that you would find in Hawaii is Fike Farms of Hawaii. It is on the top of the list when it comes to beautiful Hawaiian farms. It is a 19.5 acre farm that is in Keauhou-Mauka. It has "100% Estate Grown Kona." If one may call ahead, they give tours. Jean and George Fike are 2 lovely  people who started their farm in the year 1993 in Honaunau. In the year 1998 they moved to the the 19.5 acre location where they planted the coffee cherries from the plants on their first farm. The coffee trees are planted on an old lava flow where they start out at 1600 foot elevation and stop at 2200 foot elevation. Most days they get a cool afternoon mist that just makes the plants go "awwww." Everything that happens on this farm is done by hand. Trust me, they bag out a ton of coffee each year by hand. All of this is done by the people who love coffee maybe the most. For more information, go to www.fikefarms.com.

Enjoy your coffee for all it's worth!

Leftover Coffee Grounds

You have made enough coffee and have thrown enough coffee grounds away. Stop! Don't throw those coffee grounds away ever again. There are several things that you can do with coffee grounds and the leftover coffee. Here are some things that you can use the coffee grounds for:
  1. Coffee Play dough- How about making a playdough that smells nice, has a gritty smooth texture, and is Eco-friendly. I have the recipe for you. Check out "coffee playdough" on this blog.
  2. Mud Pudding-Kids love this idea! Make a small batch of chocolate pudding. Dab it on a piece of paper. Sprinkle a little bit of coffee grounds on top. Add a couple of gummy worms and let your children have a great time finger painting their own muddy spring pictures. When they are done, set the pictures out in the sun to dry.
  3. Compost-Put the coffee grounds in your compost bin. They mix in really well.
  4. Gardening- Sprinkle the coffee grounds on your flowers or in your garden. It helps the soil by making it moist and nourishing the soil. It functions as a fertilizer. Also, the coffee grounds are great when it comes to getting rid of pests in the garden.
  5. Cook with It- On this blog, I have supplied you with several great recipes that call for brewed coffee or coffee grounds. There is a great recipe to make Biscotti with coffee in it from February 6th.

Donate it- There are several Child-Care centers out there that are always looking for coffee grounds because they just love to make coffee playdough, to put it in their sensory tables, or even make the mud pudding with it. You could donate it to your friends for gardening with. How about making a batch of your favorite recipe made with coffee grounds and giving that away?

WHAT'S NEW IN THE WORLD OF COFFEE?

Now, that we are done celerating Easter and we now have had our fill of sweets and various special treats over the holiday, what is next. We might be feeling better after the holiday, but we might also be feeling a little uneasy or even a little constipated. So, what's next in the world of coffee. Well, now they are coming up with something called coffee enemas.

What are coffee enemas? Coffee enemas take coffee and have it inserted into the anus. Then, the "enema expert" either has the person lay down and inserts a ureter, or they have them go to the bathroom. This latest enema is said to clean out more than what the usual enema cleans out because it cleans up to the liver and "revitalizes" a person's whole system. There are several coffee enema places in Los Angelos and other big cities. It is found that it may even help prevent cancer, but may cause burning of the intestines because of the coffee being too hot. It may cause rashes.

I don't know if I would ever use a coffee enema,, but  feel free to if that's what you desire.

Be sure to check out "coffee enema" on youtube!
